The fastest-growing telecom company Reliance Jio may extend its Welcome Offer until March, 2017 as per sources. Experts also agree on this possibility. They state two possible reasons for this: One being the goal of the company to achieve a 100 million user-base and the other being compensation for Jio users who couldn't make calls on non-Jio networks. Recently, TRAI has imposed a huge amount of fine on non-Jio telecom companies, who refused connectivity to Jio users. The company has attracted millions of users in India in merely 1 month, which set a world record for the fastest growth for a startup, as claimed by the company.

As per Motilal Oswal Report, "Mass scale welcome offer could continue until March 2017 to attract subscriber growth towards the celebrated 100 million mark with RJio's indicative data at Rs. 130-140 per GB". However, the company has not made any official announcement regarding this.
The company made it clear that they don't need TRAI's permission to further extend the welcome offer. If company fails to extend the welcome offer, it may lose some users and the growth rate will certainly be slowed down. It is because of the market competence by existing telecom companies with better 4G speed, cheaper data plans and better tariffs.
As per some survey earlier in this month, Jio came out to be the slowest 4G internet in the country. Currently, Reliance Jio offers unlimited voice calling and upto 4GB of 4G data a day for free. The welcome offer was earlier scheduled to be offered until December, 2016.
