SIMI Encounter: Real or Fake?

Eight prisoners in Bhopal Central Jail were killed in an encounter by Madhya Pradesh Police on Monday. As per the source, they had escaped from the Bhopal Central Jail early morning on Monday. Also, they killed a security guard, named Ramashankar Yadav by slitting his throat. A video is being circulated on the internet claiming that the encounter was fake and the undertrials were unarmed.
"Eight prisoners related to SIMI(Student Islamic Movement of India) escaped from Bhopal Central jail between 2 to 3 AM today. They used their blankets to make a rope and crossed the bigger wall of the jail. They also killed a security guard Ramashankar Yadav. All of them were accused of several cases like murder, bank Robbery, and sedition," Bhopal Inspector General of Police Yogesh Chaudhary told to The Hindu reporter.
As this news came in, many appreciated police, while others doubt the authenticity of the encounter. Only time will reveal the truth, but the incident raises some serious questions:
  1. How come eight accused undertrials assembled in one cell at the same time? Isn't this against SoP of the police?
  2. How come they were out of the cell? Jail's manual says, they must be in lockup and keys should be submitted to the to the jail officer before sunset.
  3. How come only one policeman was attacked and no other policemen tried to stop them?
  4. How is that possible that all accused were moving together? Even the stupidest terrorists would not move together. That too when they are unarmed.
  5. Why did police have to kill them if they had no weapon except Spoons?
  6. Don't they have CCTV camera installed everywhere in the jail? Why don't they release the footage?
  7. Why is the media calling the undertrials as terrorists? The right word would be "terror accused" until the case proceeds and they are found guilty.
The video being circulated on social media is claimed to be from the scene after the encounter. Though we do not guarantee the authenticity of the same. Watch the video here:
